How To Use This Planner

1. Set your start month in the toolbar — this is when your 24-month planning window begins.
2. Enter your beginning savings balance — the total cash you have available today for goals.
3. Set a reliable monthly savings rate if you save a consistent amount each month. It auto-fills every row. You can override any individual month.

4. Name each goal column by clicking the header (e.g. “Travel — Europe Trip”, “New Car”, “Emergency Fund”).
5. Enter dollar amounts in the month you expect each goal to happen. Goals can recur — just enter amounts in multiple months.
6. Add more goal columns with the “+” button (up to 11 total). Remove any you don’t need.

7. Windfalls / Bonuses — enter one-time cash inflows like bonuses, distributions, or tax refunds in the months you expect them.
8. Monthly & Lump Sum Investing — enter amounts you plan to invest. These reduce your available savings just like goals do.

9. “Remaining After Goals” shows what’s left each month after all spending and investing. Green = on track. Red = shortfall — you’ll need to adjust timing, reduce a goal, or increase savings.
10. The summary bar at the bottom shows your totals and final remaining balance across all 24 months.

11. Save Plan downloads a file you can reload later. Load Plan reopens a saved file.
12. Download Excel exports everything as a formatted .xlsx spreadsheet.
